Basics
Name: Hyun Soo-Min | 현수민, occasionally she goes by just Min.Gender: FemaleSexuality: PansexualAge: 24Date of Birth: April 12th, 1998 (Aries)Height: 160 cm / 5’3 ftWeight: 54 kg / 120 lbPlace of Birth: South Korea (Jayang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul: 서울특별시,광진구,자양동)Occupation: Black HatOrigin: Selfishness (勝手 / Katte)
Appearance
Soomin is a petite woman with balanced proportions, rather average in terms of Koreans. She does not workout, though, she’s always had a rather active metabolism, being relatively skinny her entire life. Her silky black hair is kept at shoulder length, she has a bob cut. Many have referred to Soomin as beautiful and naturally it’s all gone to her ego; she’s her own biggest fan. For some reason she has rather sharp canine teeth. She also has a beauty mark below her left eye.In terms of clothing, she tends to prefer comfort over style for day-to-day matters. Typically wearing dark clothing, black hoodie and jeans, equally dark combat boots. For a neater look she can sometimes be found wearing a large, white overcoat with a dark buttoned up shirt and slacks. She’s also no stranger to wearing suits or business casual clothing with a shirt and tie combo. She carries around a 'Dao' despite not knowing how to use it very well outside of simple slashes.
Personality
Upon first glance Soomin can come off as headstrong, brash, and most of all selfish. Her state of mind is typically focused on self preservation above all else, even if it means being seen as a total asshole. When she sets her mind on something, she gets it done–no matter what the cost may be. Stubborn to a fault, and bursting with confidence, she doesn’t do too well when things don’t go her way. Sometimes her reactions seem almost childish, with tantrum-like responses or often rude with quick wit. She’s also rather prejudiced against selfish people despite her own actions, the reasons for such hypocrisy lie within her past. The perfect word to describe her would be ‘expressive’, wearing her heart on her sleeve on most occasions; Soomin makes sure to let the world know her opinion on a given topic. Though, beneath the outrage, insults, and banter lies a person with a shredded past–one who tends to be rather analytical at all times for the sake of surviving. It's no wonder why people tend to call her 'goyangi' much to her chagrin.
Magecraft
Element: Fire and WindPhilosophy Magecraft: Practiced mainly in continental Asia, it has vastly different principles than the ones outlined above as practiced by Western mages as they simulate an artificial Root via the Philosophy Foundation, a supergiant Mystic Code fused with the Planet that practitioners use as the foundation for all spells. Philosophy mages have Philosophy Keys, which are analogous to Magic Crests used by western mages and serve as a means of accessing the Foundation for their spells. This means Oriental mages are only restricted by the spell formula and their Key in what they can accomplish with the Foundation, which is maintained by all Philosophy mages. Eastern Magecraft is generally considered incompatible with Western Magecraft.Soomin's father’s side of the family is actually a well-established magus family with strong ties to the Spiral Manor spanning several generations. Due to circumstances, Soomin was given her father’s philosophy key–the very same key that had been passed down for generations, giving her access to a moderate pool of spells. Though, she obviously does not have access to the Privileged Domain amongst the Foundation. The following section is continuously subject to change as more spells are considered/created.
Firm / 坚定的 (Jiāndìng de) is one the most basic and effective spells Soomin has at her disposal. In plain words it generates a magical based shield in front of the user, the shield itself is akin to a weak bounded field. The strength and duration is solely dependent upon how much energy the user is willing to deposit into the spell.

Multiply / 使相乘 (Shǐ xiāng chéng) is an advanced spell that requires saving up a large sum of magical energy and storing it within a sitting cushion. The origin of this spell is found in the Fenghuo Putuan (风火蒲团) and creating a pseudo version of it for the spell. The strength, intelligence, and duration of the clones solely depends on how much magical energy has been stockpiled. It takes sizable amounts of mana each day from two weeks to create one clone competent enough for brief combat or trivial tasks. The Futon of Wind and Fire. “Futon” here refers to the sitting cushions used by Taoists and Buddhists during meditation; this legendary artifact itself the “seat” of Laozi. Imbued with the elemental powers of wind and fire, the futon could capture enemies and magical objects. It could also summon a formidable heavenly warrior as a familiar.

Vermilion Bird / 朱雀 (Zhūquè) is a standard fire spell, it’s application is similar to a flamethrower dispelled from the user’s extremities, typically the hands. 朱雀 (Zhūquè) is one of the Four Symbols of the Chinese constellations. According to Wu Xing, the Taoist five elemental system, it represents the Fire element, the direction south, and the season summer correspondingly.
